Prior to the introduction of the Product Information Management System, Electrolux had a complex challenge in managing multiple leading home appliance brands, thousands of products, providing timely and current product information, a significant marketing collateral library to internal staff /trade partners (retailers, architects and designers), whilst interfacing with global databases and adhering to global corporate policies.
Customer Service: building a look up system that could be utilised as a one stop shop for all product information (current and obsolete) including: features, benefits.
Retailers: an Electrolux resource for retailers to look up any product related information, download marketing collateral such as high res images for use in brochures and more
Brand Websites: automation and management of product information fed directly into Electrolux brand sites (dramatic reduction in manual labour required to keep product information up to date on various online assets)
With the introduction of the Product Information Management System, Electrolux now has a robust, dynamic solution to managing a complex product lifecycle, significant marketing collateral and a growing scope for the PIMS platform.
